2. The pre-selection of participants will be effected by a Preparatory Jury from audio/video media submitted. All applications must therefore be accompanied by a recording (CD or DVD) of the following works:
Total duration: not longer than 20 minutes
I. Johann Sebastian Bach
One movement from one of the Sonatas and Partitas for Violin
solo BWV 1001 – 1006
This movement must not be identical with the chosen movement/s of
the 1st round.
II. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Adagio E major, K. 261
III. One virtuoso work of the competitor’s own choice
3. The following documents must be attached to the completed application form:
• Copy of birth certificate (or other official document
proving date and place of birth)
• 1 photograph (b/w), post card size, with name on back or jpg. file
• Brief curriculum vitae with artistic development/career
• List of complete repertoire (including competition programme)
• 2 letters of recommendation from 2008/9 by current or former teachers
The above documents and the recording sent in for pre-selection cannot be returned. In addition, all documents not written in German, English or French must be accompanied by a translation in one of the aforementioned languages.
4. Notification of admitted participants as well as the score of the commissioned work by Frangis Ali-Sade will be sent within the period

5. Admitted participants shall confirm their participation. The confirmation is valid on receipt of the registration fee of € 100.– (free of charge for the recipient), not later than
